Can anyone recommend a tree trimming/removal company for the Springfield area - preferably with good rates. :)

Also looking for a fencing company that is familiar with Historic Springfield guidelines/regulations.

Thank you for all responses!!

We have used and were very happy with Treeology Tree Service - great work, great rates. Call Leroy Woods at 674-5207.

Most fence companies can satisfy the fencing guidelines.

Here are the fencing guidelines:

If you're looking for wrought iron, try Edwards:

Or Southeastern Ornamental:

There's plenty of aluminum or wood companies.

One thing to remeber - you will need to get approval from the City of Jacksonville's Historic Planning Dept first:

It can probably be done administratively, meaning, they can just take a look at your plans in office and approve or deny. As long as the fence is within the guidelines, you should be fine.

If wanting to remove a tree or 2, does that require approval from the City of Jacksonville's Historic Planning Dept also?

Last time I purchased fence, I bought it from greatfence.com and had Terrence (local landscaping company) put it in. He's very reasonable, and the fence looks really good. PM me if you want his contact info.
