Found: 2 Pups

Postby Kimmy Gibbler » Fri Sep 07, 2012 10:25 am

Two pups showed up on our porch this morning, do they belong to anyone? One is all brown, the other is white and brown. I'm keeping them in our backyard so they are safe, and a few people have expressed interest in them if they do not already belong to someone. They do not have collars or tags. Let me know if you know who they belong to!

Jamie - you should take the pups to be scanned for a micro-chip. Most vets will do that. So will Animal Care and Protective Services and Jacksonville Humane Society.

Yup, just have to get through my work day, then I can do more. I thought this was a good first step while I'm stuck in the office. :D

These sound like the same two that REDWING posted about. I guess they've crossed Main St. From what they said, they belonged to 'someone' who didn't want them anymore.

Caesar and Brutus are now bathed, flea free, and chillin' in their crate (thanks SACARC!). Gave them some anti-heartworm medication. Took them to get their chips scanned, but they don't have any chips!

Will have to get them to a vet for a full check-up, but they seem to be healthy pups. They are very cool dogs, and will make someone great pets!

Cheers,

- Will

Caesar and Brutus will be up-to-date on shots and neutered soon, so they will be ready for their 'furever' homes. If you or someone you know are interested in adopting either of these adorable pups, contact SACARC via our website www.sacarc.org or our Facebook page (Springfield Animal Care and Rescue Club).
